Getting married?
A will isn’t usually a priority for newlyweds who don’t have children or a significant amount of assets yet. But wouldn’t your new spouse have an easier time distributing your assets to family members if you addressed your wishes in a valid last will? And what if you and your spouse are in the same accident? For instance, if a husband dies at the scene of a car crash while his wife spends some time in a coma, all of the couple’s assets could go the wife. Then, if the wife dies from the injuries she sustained, the assets would pass on to her parents and siblings. The husband’s family would get nothing.
